UPDATE: Our camp out is now a sponsored camp out. Our good friends at Salt Spring Air (our local seaplane airline) have donated 6 Rocky Mountain bikes for use by any of our guests while visiting the island for those that don’t have bikes. And, we’re being sponsored by our good friends at People Powered Productions with bike powered smoothie makers and solar power in the camping field.
There is something special happening on Salt Spring Island and I don’t want you to miss it. The whole island is hosting a gathering of cycling enthusiasts to attend a weekend long cycling love-in with music, food, bike art, fun and you’re all invited to camp at my place! Yes, all of you!
The event is called Velo Village and runs from Friday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 24th. This is your special invitation to all of the Social Venture Institute community who might want to come and camp on our land here on the island to be part of the fun, rain or shine. This is a great chance to get out on your bike, enjoy the summer, have fun at a bike festival, visit the gulf islands and hang out with some of our social venture community. Salt Spring Island is home to a number of SVI entrepreneurs, come find out why!
We have 20-30 tent spots around here at our place, and can make arrangements for more nearby if more of you happen to want to come. We have 10 or so people already planning to attend.
