Christopher Roy

Christopher has been managing the strategic planning, design and development of digital experiences for over a decade; projects which have built trust, improved engagement and delivered measured results for organizations, clients and end user communities.

He is a passionate advocate for the potential of social marketing and communications – “Digital tools are tools of transformation and relationship building. They are a powerful vehicle for cultivating community and creating the shifts our institutions need, so that they can better serve our sustainable future.”

In his work he has led engagements with The Business Development Bank of Canada, Natural Resources Canada, The Justice Institute of British Columbia, The Elders Foundation, British Columbia Hydro, The City of Vancouver, Webby Award nominated TckTckTck – The Global Campaign for Climate Action, TransLink and The Pembina Institute. In addition to strategy, social media, business operations and online community building expertise, Christopher is also an Internet localization specialist. He led the award winning Internet localization program for global semiconductor company Texas Instruments, managing planning and engagement for all of their international online businesses. The former Managing Director of the San Francisco office of Internet services firm OVEN Digital, Christopher has also worked with clients that include Starwood Hotels and Resorts, W Hotels, Tiffany & Co. and Rogers Communications.

In his community and volunteer work, he is the Vice-President and co-founding member of The Natural Burial Co-operative and is a co-founder of award winning Salt Spring Exchange, an online community for the residents of Salt Spring Island, BC where he lives with his wife and two children. He is also and avid photographer and a Senior Strategist with Communicopia. Christopher is a Bachelor of Applied Arts, Dean’s List graduate of Ryerson University and a Google Certified Search Marketing professional.
